YOUR COMPLETE MOBILE THEATRE SOLUTION
- Mobile Operating Theatres for Hire -
Helping to Relieve the Surgical Backlog
About Us
The Brainchild of Two Surgeons
Enigma Medical Solutions was born during the pandemic as a direct result of the growing waiting lists for routine surgical procedures. Founded by two surgeons, they saw a lack of viable options in the market that could help relieve the pressure they were witnessing in their own communities.
Our fully transportable mobile operating theatres are available for hire and can be deployed with ease in a day.
Our Eden unit puts local anaesthetic, day-case surgery within easy reach of healthcare providers, and our general anaesthetic mobile modular unit incorporates a UCV canopy allowing for a full range of procedures to be provided including hip and knee replacements.
We are helping to enable healthcare providers to quickly establish a service without long‐term costs.

The Eden Unit
A 24m2 theatre lies at the heart of our custom built, road legal Maxiflex HGV trailer
The theatre lies at the core of the unit and is supported by a prep room and dirty utility to facilitate high volume surgical lists. Patients enter the unit via a covered, illuminated stairway or lift at the rear of the facility. On entering the unit, they are welcomed into a reception area with access to a disabled toilet.
There is a consulting room for private patient‐clinician discussions and examination before surgery.
A flexible space is also available for use as a patient discharge lounge or a private staff room for changing, eating and relaxing depending on your requirements.
The Enigma Unit has been designed and built in partnership with the wonderful Neat Vehicles, meaning the theatre is not only of high quality but most importantly, fully mobile and road legal.

A solution designed by surgeons, in collaboration with specialist vehicle technicians, and ready to be delivered to healthcare providers throughout the UK

The GA Unit
A 45m2 enhanced theatre complete with UCV canopy and recovery room
Our mobile modular offering is deployed to create a fully functioning general anaesthetic theatre with an Ultra Clean Ventilation canopy.
Supported by an access corridor, prep area and dirty utility room, patients can be brought onto the unit using the access ramp and brought straight into the theatre. An adjacent 2-bed recovery room provides a smooth patient flow throughout the unit.
A fully compliant medical gas pod sits alongside the surgical unit delivering to ceiling pendants within the surgical space.
A full range of surgical procedures can be carried out in our GA unit including hip and knee replacements.
Environment
All our units come complete with back up power systems, fire alarm systems, intruder alarm systems and energy efficient lighting. Our ventilation and air conditioning systems are certified in accordance with HTM 03‐01 regulations, delivering 25 air exchanges per hour of HEPA filtered air to the theatre and cascading to adjacent rooms in accordance with the required air flow regimes. This allows for the safe delivery of a variety of daycase lists including cataract surgery, and also more complex general anaesthetic procedures.
Partners
Our units have been designed and built in partnership with the wonderful Neat Vehicles, meaning the theatres are not only of high quality but most importantly, fully mobile and road legal.
Although not exclusive, we have a working relationship with Alcon who can supply a state of the art microscope, phaco machine with handpieces, consumables and lenses for cataract surgery. In addition, Alcon can also provide a fully managed service if the client wishes.
